poetry like my unwritten thoughts...

maria nefele's song

"What a waste of a girl," they say
shake their heads
like it's for me they worry
I wish they'd buzz off!

I cruise the clouds
like the beautiful lightning
and what I give and take
turns to rain.

Hey look at me guys
I cut on both sides
mornings I can't be talked to
curse Marys

nights I roll
on anybody's lawn
as if polestruck
drunga-drunga-drung.

I haven't met joy
and I step on grief
like an angel I turn
over the ravine.

The Nefelegerites
(who gathers clouds)

Ah how beautiful to hang out with the clouds
to write like Homer epics on old shoes
to not care if you're liked or not
nothing

Free of distraction to reap unpopularity
like this; with generosity; as if you owned
a mind and shut it
fired al personnel
to keep a poverty had by no other
completely yours.
At the hour when at their bureaus without hope
hanging by phones
they fight for nothing the fat people
you go up inside Ers
totally smudged but limber
a chimney sweep
you come down from Eros ready to found
your own white beach

without money

you undress as they who know of stars undress
and with large leagues open yourself freely to cry...

IT IS BIGAMY TO LOVE AND TO DREAM.
